The final group matches are set for Saturday 19 March with the semis set for Sunday

National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) men's side are through to the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) Super Cup semis as the best placed team in pool A.

The Danstun Eshikumo-led side saw off rivals Black Mamba 31-22 to win their second match of the pool that also has Ulinzi.

"We played according to plan and I am happy for the win. However, we have a week to work on our weaknesses, top of the list being our wing plays sk as to be ready for whoever we meet in the semis," offered Eshikumo.

Mamba's Morgan Juma and Martin Nguli watched as their top scoring counts of six and five respectively failed to hand them a much needed win. Peter Odhiambo and John Wante scored four for NCPB to emerge top scorers for the millers.

"This was a tough match and we had not had the best of preparations. However, after the first match, we have the momentum going and will be ready for Ulinzi in the next match for a chance to get through to the semis," offered Mamba's Paul Ondara

Peter Mwathi's Strathmore University dominated their match against General Service Unit (GSU) to bag a crucial win that hands them a slot to the semis as well

Strathmore, coming into the final group match against the paramilitary side, needed a win to secure the slot, having played for a draw against Kenyatta University Wizards on Saturday.

Maxwell Munene top scored in the match at six goals as Nicholas Munywa, Felix Omondi and Rashid Ingwela added four a piece. Christopher Mayende scored five for GSU in their loss.

"We played to our game plan and our defense worked well and that made our offense easier. However, we were not clinical in our offense as we missed a few open chances and at times we were not patient on attack," said Mwathi.
